The business meeting features a pavilion from India for the first time.
SANTO DOMINGO.- Last night, Thursday, June 12, the Expo Ferretera Dominicana fair, 2025 edition 60 local and international companies this weekend .
From today, Friday the 13th and until next Sunday, June 15 , a group of companies from countries such as the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Mexico, India, Panama, the United States, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Honduras and Sweden, exhibit their news and products for entrepreneurs and suppliers in the world of construction.
Ana Ventura, general manager, said that the business meeting has become one of the most important platforms in the hardware and construction sector in the region.
Technology, tools, materials and equipment, as well as training in everything related to this booming sector, can be found at the exhibition that has been presented in the national market for more than two decades.
Ventura highlighted that for the first time there will be an exclusive pavilion for companies from India, in addition to an unprecedented diversity of participating countries.
“The exhibitors include manufacturers, wholesale distributors, ceramic producers, power and hand tool manufacturers, as well as companies specializing in paints, coatings, waterproofing materials, water tanks, plastic products, PVC pipes, and rebar,” she stated during her opening remarks.
The executive announced that, as in previous years, the event will feature talks, seminars, and training workshops, including the international panel “Asia, Latin America, USA: Challenges and Opportunities for the Hardware and Construction Sector,” aimed at all hardware store owners attending the exhibition.
The opening ceremony was attended by various personalities including the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Ito Bisonó, the Ambassador of India, Ramu Abbagani; the President of Acoprovi, Annerys Meléndez, other special guests, representatives of the participating companies, special guests, actors from the construction sector, among others.
During the event, Danny Beato of Ferretería y Maderera Beato and Martín Piñeira of Astur Caribe were recognized for their contributions to the Dominican hardware sector.
