The leader of RE/MAX's number 1 sales team in the world reveals how niche specialization, results measurement, and teamwork led him to first place.
He believes that “success is not improvised, it is measured, specialized and shared.”.
SANTO DOMINGO – Real estate advisor Ariel Grasso, who has been part of the sales team for the global franchise RE/MAX for two years, believes that success in the real estate sector is not achieved by chance, but through a clear strategy , constant measurement, and a determined attitude .
During his appearance on the program "La Ventana de El Inmobiliario ," the Argentinean digital marketing expert and member of RE/MAX Metropolitana shared his experience as an agent and consultant, emphasizing that from his beginnings in the industry he made it a point to study the best in the sector. "I asked myself: what are they doing that I'm not doing? And I discovered that they all had something in common: they were specialized in a niche," he explained.
Grasso explained that his focus has been on real estate developments, especially in Punta Cana, where he has established himself as a leader. “We know the client, the product they are looking for, and how to sell it. We don't build based on desire, but on demand ,” he stated.
In that regard, he maintained that many builders fail because they don't understand the market . “I sit down with them and tell them: this is what needs to be done for the project to sell. It's not what you want, it's what the market needs,” he stated.
What is selling in the national market in 2025?
Regarding market performance in 2025, he noted that low-cost , those under $100,000, have been the best sellers . “The middle segment has been the most affected.”
He maintains that credibility has been key this year to continue selling,” he said.
Grasso also emphasized the importance of measuring the real estate business. “I have my business measured. I know how many calls I need to make, how many leads I need to have to close a sale. I don't leave my business to chance ,” he said.
Speaking about leadership, he emphasized that the sector is often secretive about
knowledge. “Many leaders don’t share out of fear. I did the opposite: I shared what worked for me, and that made us grow exponentially,” he explained.
His team has been recognized as number one in the world by RE/MAX for two consecutive years.
A message to close out the year
In the final stretch of the year, he sent an exhortation to agents who had not achieved their goals: “Evaluate your business. What did you do? What did you fail to do? Many know what they have to do, but they lack the resolve to do it. What cannot be taught is attitude.”.
From observer to world leader
Ariel Grasso began his real estate career nine years ago. He has built a successful
career based on observation, continuous training, and disciplined action. “From day one I said: I want to be number one in sales at RE/MAX Dominican Republic,” he recalled.
Upon discovering the existence of a world ranking, he and his team set out to climb the ranks. “We were in 30th place. I aimed to be in the top 10, then the top 5, and today we are number one in the world ,” he stated.
Currently, he has a team of 22 real estate agents and a staff of 8 people in areas such as marketing, administration, and management. “ I don't work alone. I have an excellent team that is fully committed and works alongside me,” he said.
Over the past two years, they have managed to sell approximately 1,500 units annually, even amidst a slowing market. “If we sold 100 or 150 fewer units this year, it’s not significant given our usual volume. We continue to operate at a very good pace,” he concluded.
