Annies Gómez: From pain to vision, transforming history into legacy

SANTO DOMINGO – She is proof that life forges diamonds under pressure. A devoted mother and visionary entrepreneur, she transformed pain into creative energy and challenges into learning experiences. With resilience and gratitude, she has built not only projects, but also a legacy of faith, strength, and hope.

Annies Gómez's story in the real estate world began more than two decades ago, when she was 22 years old, a young mother. She found an opportunity at a construction company in Santo Domingo Oeste to gain experience in every aspect of the industry: from administration and sales to technical engineering support. She also discovered the passion that would later lead her to found her own company.

Like a diamond, she embodies beauty and unwavering strength. Her greatest inspiration was her husband, engineer Andy Santana Hernández, who firmly believed in her ability to excel in such a complex sector.

After her passing, amidst the pandemic and with a baby in her arms, Annies rebuilt her life, determined not to give up. “I thought about throwing in the towel more than once, but my driving force has always been my children, my team, and the clients who trust us,” she confesses.

From that resilience, Houselink, SRL was born, a firm that went from sales and rentals to a comprehensive provider of real estate solutions. Annies explains it with the clarity of someone who reinvents without losing their essence: “The philosophy remains the same: professionalism, integrity, and quality. But we have broadened our vision to adapt to a market that demands innovation, technology, and smart partnerships.”.

The businesswoman speaks of reengineering as a vital and business process, and with that same resolve she faces the challenges of the sector: market volatility, unprofitable oversupply, regulatory changes, and the aftermath of an atypical sales period during the pandemic. Each obstacle, she affirms, has also been a learning experience and an opportunity for growth.

Gentle in her manner, firm in her decisions, Annies naturally embraces the demands of leadership and motherhood. She acknowledges the sacrifices, but never doubts what is essential: "No amount of money can replace a hug from your children or the satisfaction of being present for the moments that shape their lives.".

Today, when you listen to her, it becomes clear that her greatest legacy will not only be a solid company, but also the inspiration of a woman who knew how to reinvent herself with gratitude, conviction, and strength. She is a testament to the fact that true strength, like diamonds, is forged under pressure and shines with its own light.
