Faced with the challenges presented by the real estate sector in the Dominican Republic, such as high rates of dissatisfaction and interest, the Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies (AEI) North Zone launched the program “ABC of Real Estate”.
This was announced by its director, Isely Almánzar, during an interview with El Inmobiliario, in order to explain the aspects included in this plan, launched on March 4th of this year.
This training project arises from the need for real estate agents to master the parts of a real estate transaction in order to ensure compliance with guarantees, obtain the expected results, and meet the established legal and objective aspects.
According to Almánzar, the training sessions are held once a month, with the next meeting on April 9th, and the series concluding on December 10th of this year.
The real estate advisor also stated that this program aligns with the stated goal of regulating the real estate market with the draft bill that seeks to regulate this professional practice in the country and which is currently being considered in the Chamber of Deputies.

“This law aims to ensure that to become a real estate agent, one must complete a certain number of training courses, pass an exam, and, after passing, pay a bond to regulate that person. After this process, the agent will be authorized to work in the real estate sector,” he explained.
The topics covered include "Introduction to the real estate sector", "Prospecting and acquiring properties" and "Techniques to attract clients, sellers and buyers".
Almánzar reported that, on this first day, the program included the participation of experts who provided training to the real estate agents who attended the event.
