The census to determine its value in the Dominican market is carried out by the General Directorate of National Cadastre (DGCN), every five years at the urban level and ten for the rural area,
A square meter is the area within a square whose sides measure one meter, as defined by Wikipedia. It is generally used to measure a space such as land, a room, a floor, etc. A ruler or measuring tape is used to calculate it. It is represented by the symbol m².

In the Dominican Republic, the price per square meter is regulated through the General Directorate of National Cadastre (DGCN), under Law 150-14, of April 11, 2014, which grants this institution the exclusive task of carrying out these market studies; and whose survey is carried out every 5 years in the urban area and every 10 in the rural area.
Price indices are statistical indicators used to establish the cadastral values per square meter of land within the national territory. Here we share the results of the latest measurements carried out by the DGCN in Santo Domingo.
