The firm has established as a requirement that, in order to join its ranks, the real estate agent must be certified
SANTO DOMINGO.-For Stephani Mendoza, becoming a certified real estate agent represents a fruitful experience that will allow her to take a new step, improve her knowledge, sell with more awareness, and stay up-to-date to provide her clients with greater security when persuading them to purchase their properties.
She is part of the promotion of 70 real estate advisors from Urban Group, who yesterday received their certifications from the AEI, Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies, which endorses their work as real estate brokers in the country.
The activity is part of the new measure adopted by the real estate firm, which decided that in order to join the brand, real estate agents must be certified, as specified by its CEO, Luz Sarmiento, during the delivery ceremony.

Alberto Bogaert, president of the AEI, led the certificate presentation, along with executives from Urban Group. (External source).
“We have made certification a requirement. To join Urban Group, advisors must now complete their certification or have a scheduled date to do so; only in this way can they become part of our company,” he explained.
This is the first time the company has required all its staff to be certified through the AEI. Sarmiento explains that, in addition to always believing in training, they adopted this measure because of the work being done by the association that represents agents and agencies.
In addition to the above, he expressed his desire for the Dominican Republic to have a law regulating the real estate profession. “And to achieve that dream, we have to do our part by ensuring all our advisors become certified. We understand that we are contributing people who go out into the field with quality, not only because of what we as a company teach them, but also because they adhere to a code of ethics developed by professionals,” he explained.
“I feel very grateful because receiving the course was of great importance. It helped me gain new knowledge when it comes to closing sales,” testified Dolores Morrobel, a new agent who, with just three months at the company, has managed to close five sales.
Ana Moronta, Dahiana Castañeda, Arlene Gómez, Conny Ramírez, Erlin Almonte, Carolina Valdez, Eliana Rondón, Francis Acosta, Giselle Dipp, Gelitza Gómez, Grisselle Ventura, Ivette Román, Josue Rodríguez, Josafat Pérez and José J. López were certified in real estate training and management at Urban Group.
Also Joanna Fuerte, Jessika Ortiz, Leo Ruiz, Taina Gómez, Laura Valoy, Lilibeth Rivas, Karina Reyes, María Almonte, Moisés Hernández, Mary González, Mariel Vásquez, Oscar Herrera, Manuel Matos, Pierina Acevedo, among others.
From abroad: Atori Acosta, Jenny Castillo, José Sarmiento, Yanete Rosario and Jackeline Cuevas.
Highlights program
Alberto Bogaert, president of the AEI, highlighted the positioning of the certifications, after stating that prior to the pandemic, with the face-to-face modality, only between 40 and 50 agents participated, a number that has increased to more than 300 students who participated in the CBR01, virtual model.
