This is how women in construction reacted to the horrific crime against Leslie Rosado

We are in mourning and wish to express our sadness at the loss of architect Leslie Rosado and the child she was carrying, in front of her teenage daughter who, in addition to the pain of losing her mother, will have to cope with the psychological trauma of a tragedy that will mark her life.”.

SANTO DOMINGO.- Outraged, calling the act horrendous and shameful, the women grouped in the Dominican Confederation of Small and Medium Construction Companies (COPYMECON) reacted this morning to the crime committed against architect Leslie Rosado, who worked alongside her father at the Armando Toros Construction Company.

They would like their voice to reach the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, the Attorney General of the Republic, Miriam Germán, and the Director of the National Police, Edward Sánchez; so that the circumstances in which the young woman, a mother of three, lost her life can be clarified.

“We are in mourning and want to express our sadness for the fact that architect Leslie Rosado and the child she was carrying in her womb lost their lives, in front of her teenage daughter who, in addition to the pain of losing her mother, will have to deal with overcoming the psychological trauma of a tragedy that will mark her life,” they stated at a press conference held at the COPYMECOM offices.

Society is terrified, they reflected, and “especially women in the construction sector who, because of our work, are more exposed and more vulnerable to cases of violence and crime, want to be able to move around safely and not have to flee from those who should protect us,” noted architect Esther Morillo, former president of CODIA.

At a press conference, they expressed their outrage at the murder of Leslie Rosado. (External source).

They cried out for justice for Leslie, for her family, and for all women, because tomorrow it could happen to anyone, and although it is not a state policy, the number of isolated cases could increase if the appropriate measures are not taken.

More condolences from the sector

With profound sorrow and grief, we announce the untimely passing of architect Leslie Rosado de Martínez, wife of engineer Javier Martínez, CEO of Múdate and a pillar of our profession. We share in their grief and pray that God grants comfort to the entire family, reads the message from the Board of Directors of the Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies (AEI), posted on their social media.

“TimeHomes joins in this great sadness with the family of Leslie Rosado. May the Lord heal their pain and replace it with peace.”.
