President Luis Abinader swore in the members of the Coordinating Council for the Special Border Development Zone (CCZEDF) at a hotel in the capital, presiding over its first working session as a demonstration of his commitment to border development. He promised that the government will finance projects aimed at border communities and that he will be the leading advocate for Law 12-21 on border development, which replaces Law 28-01.
