The government has begun the first stage of technical, social and legal work in the town of Boruco, in the municipal district of Guatapanal in Mao, Valverde province, where the delivery of 900 title certificates is planned to benefit 3,600 people, occupants of homes and plots of land.
The executive director of UTECT, Duarte Méndez Peña , highlighted the transparency of the National Land Titling Plan President Luis Abinader 's administration . He added that land titling is now a reality and that projects are underway throughout the country to ensure that Dominicans receive their property titles.
“As promised, today we began the titling work on plot 212, of Cadastral District No. 06, benefiting the residents of Boruco, in this municipal district of Guatapanal, in the municipality of Mao, Valverde province,” said Méndez Peña.
The CEO of UTECT said that the titling projects are being carried out as mandated by law, and that the Government covers the expenses incurred by the beneficiaries of the National Titling Plan.
Addressing the community members of Boruco, Méndez Peña introduced surveyor Pedro Vásquez , who will be in charge of all the logistics land surveying work . He also informed them that the titling teams would be properly identified by their uniforms cards .
The governor of Valverde province, Marta Collado , said that it is a day to give thanks to God and to President Luis Abinader, for improving the lives of the community members of Boruco, in Valverde province, who had been waiting for more than 20 years for the government to announce the land titling process and today it is a reality.
“When the State hands over property titles, it will dignify the family, it will open up more opportunities for them because it will provide them with easier access to loans,” Collado stated.
Meanwhile, the mayor of the municipal district of Guatapanal, Herminio Milcíades Chávez Trejo , stated that the time for reality has arrived because the promises are over and the facts have arrived, demonstrating that President Luis Abinader has the municipal district of Guatapanal in mind.
“Dear people of Boruco in our municipal district of Guatapanal, solutions are arriving. We are working, listening to the needs and the pleas of all the residents of this district and the community of Boruco; the issue was that they didn't have property titles. Thanks to the director of UTECT and President Luis Rodolfo Abinader Corona, the residents of Boruco will have their property titles, a property title that is completely free,” Chávez Trejo stated.
The launch of the land titling project in Boruco was attended by Franklin Rodríguez , representing the Director General of National Assets, Rafael Burgos Gómez ; Estefany Frías, Vice Mayor of Mao; Juan Francisco Martínez , Regional Manager of the IAD; and the Deputy Director of the Borte Regional Office, Santiago Caba.
The blessing of the event was given by Father Lucas Candelario , from the Church of Perpetual Help in Guatapanal.
