Spanish businessman expresses optimism about growth in the eastern region in the coming years

SANTO DOMINGO – “The future of construction is promising, and we are very optimistic about the development and growth of the area in the coming years. As a result of this confidence, Gesproin Group will continue developing new projects, both in Cap Cana and at Gesproin Coral Golf Resort, which will add more than 340 residential units, a 112-room hotel, and 8,000 square meters of retail and office space.”

This is how Spanish businessman Javier Donoso, CEO of Gesproin Group, responded to El Inmobiliario . The executive has extensive experience in the real estate sector, both in Spain and the Dominican Republic. He has led the brand's internationalization, adapting it to market challenges. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Málaga and an MBA from IE Business School. Donoso answered several questions for the Builder section of the tenth print edition of El Inmobiliario , which we reproduce here for our online readers:

Does your job ever get easier?

The work remains challenging, especially due to unpredictable external factors affecting the sector. Gesproin Group's rapid growth has necessitated internal reorganization and the addition of a multidisciplinary and international team, which adds complexity, but our adaptability allows us to overcome these obstacles.

How do you manage challenges during construction?

Planning and control are fundamental. At Gesproin Group, we have a highly qualified team and well-defined processes from the initial concept of each project. Furthermore, we implement Oracle's NetSuite ERP system and offer ongoing training to our employees to effectively manage challenges and improve our efficiency.

Any project that has left a mark on you?

The Wave Garden project in Cap Cana is undoubtedly the most iconic. Its innovative design, location, and scale marked a turning point for Gesproin Group, solidifying our position in the sector and demonstrating our ability to manage large-scale projects.

Is the future of construction uncertain?

The future of construction is promising, and we are very optimistic about the development and growth of the area in the coming years. As a result of this confidence, Gesproin Group will continue developing new projects, both in Cap Cana and at Gesproin Coral Golf Resort, which will add more than 340 residential units, a 112-room hotel, and 8,000 square meters of retail and office space.

How do you balance quality with delivery times?

Quality must always be our priority. While deadlines are important, we never compromise on the standards our customers expect. We are currently facing labor challenges that are impacting timelines, but we always maintain the quality that defines us.
