SANTO DOMINGO.- The Judicial Council CPJ ) announced yesterday that it will relocate the staff and services provided in the National District Court of Appeals building, because the results of a vulnerability study of the building showed the need to initiate actions to avoid possible safety risks in the event of an earthquake.
In a press release CPJ indicated that, based on these findings, they have collaborated with the relevant state bodies in pursuit of responsible solutions.
He noted that, in December 2024, an inter-institutional agreement with the General Directorate of National Assets and the Ministry of Energy and Mines for the transfer of the use of the National Cadastre building to the Branch .
The Judiciary stated that, to date, alternative spaces to relocate judicial services short term and temporarily , guaranteeing the continuity of work in safe conditions for all personnel.
"This will be the case until a definitive solution through the establishment of the judicial city in the National District," the press .
He emphasized that the competent of the Judiciary is currently working on coordinating the execution of actions, "due to the institutional commitment to ensure the safety and dignity of those who administer justice, the judicial staff and the general public."
