President Luis Abinader delivered 400 apartments from the Happy Family National Housing Plan in the municipality of San Gregorio de Nigua, in this province, which will benefit more than 9,000 people.
These are located in the Don Antonio Residential complex, and they correspond to the first stage of this project, which includes 1,280 units.
The Minister of the Presidency, Joel Santos Echavarría, explained that of the 880 homes that have already begun to be built for the second and third stage, 500 apartments will be delivered in 2024.
He also noted that the Government has invested more than RD 245 million in bonds to facilitate their acquisition, distributed in Initial Bond, ITBIS Bond, Rate Bond and Woman Bond.
Santos Echavarría announced the delivery of 950 apartments before the end of the year in different parts of the country. For 2023, the delivery of 2,779 homes is expected to be completed, and the construction of 8,814 housing units is projected for 2024 in various locations.
Present were the Minister of Women, Mayra Jiménez; the Governor of San Cristóbal, Pura Casilla; the Senator, Franklin Rodríguez; the Mayors of San Cristóbal, José Montás; of Haina, Osvaldo Rodríguez and of San Gregorio de Nigua, Jorge Ortiz Carela; the Vice Minister of Investment Projects, Camel Curi and the project developer, George Ghattas.
