In the province of Sánchez Ramírez, President Luis Abinader delivered 752 property titles this Thursday in an effort to transform the lives of more than 3,000 people in this province.
The families impacted by this titling process of the Cotuí-Cevicos project belong to the sectors Los Españoles, Libertad, La Cruz, Las Yaguas, El Progreso, 24 de Abril, Las Palmas, Las Colinas and Caño Hondo, who, from today, have the support of a title that not only ensures their property, but also their right to a more stable life.
The president stated that with each title they deliver, with each family that achieves security of their property, there is a Dominican Republic that is being built stronger and more just than ever.
He took the opportunity to call on churches and neighborhood associations to act as mediators in the communities, so that families can agree on whose name the approximately 650 titles that are ready will be issued and delivered.
He added that behind every property title there is a family, dreams and aspirations, children and young people who will grow up in a safe home , and adults who will have the certainty that their work and effort are protected by law.
“This land titling project is part of a much larger commitment, one that I personally have and that the Government has, and which we have undertaken with responsibility and conviction. Since the beginning of our administration, we have worked to reduce and eliminate the lack of land titles throughout the Dominican Republic. We know that this is neither an easy nor a quick task, but we have made significant progress,” Abinader stated.
The head of state highlighted that in the first four years of his administration, more than 100,000 land titles were delivered , and they project approximately 300,000 more in the next four years, throughout the Dominican Republic.
“Finally, I want to reaffirm that for us, every Dominican family is a priority. In every decision, every policy, every project, the well-being of our citizens is our sole and fundamental reason for being. Today, we renew our commitment to continue working to bring this peace, this security, and these opportunities to every corner of the country, to every home that still dreams of owning a property title,” President Abinader concluded.
In this titling process, the Technical Executive Unit , together with the Dominican Agrarian Institute and National Assets , worked in the area of parcels No. 41, 43 and 46 of the Cadastral District 12 of the municipality of Cotuí and parcel 94 of the cadastral district No. 20, of the municipality of Cevicos, impacting a geographical area of 452,374.55 square meters.
For his part, the executive director of the State Land Titling Technical Unit, Duarte Méndez , said that this and all titling projects would not have been possible without the support, motivation and importance that President Abinader has given to this program , so that every Dominican receives their property title free of charge .
