SANTO DOMINGO. - Seeking to expand national knowledge about the latest advances in products and technologies in the asphalt sector, the Minister of Public Works and Communications, Deligne Ascención, will participate in World Of Asphalt 2024, the main conference and fair of that sector.
This event, which will bring together manufacturers from the industry and specialized service providers in the fields of aggregates, asphalt, pavement maintenance and road safety, will take place from March 25 to 27, 2024 in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
Minister Ascención will be accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Road Maintenance of MOPC, Luis Germán Bastardo, and a commission from the institution, as well as the president of the National Association of Asphalt Producers (ANPRAS), Ramón Gabriel Aguilera, and other important businessmen.
The goal is to strengthen their commitment to quality in the asphalt production and placement process in the Dominican Republic.
Ascención and ANPRAS have announced their interest in implementing new technologies that promote efficiency and sustainability in the asphalt industry at the national level.
Currently, the MOPC is carrying out the third version of the National Asphalt and Road Construction Program (Propacc), which covers the paving of streets, avenues and highways, as well as the construction of sidewalks and curbs throughout the country.
