SANTO DOMINGO. – They say that people return to the places that make them happy. Jasmín Domínguez is proof of this; a young woman who grew up in the construction industry but decided to pursue a different path and, like a good daughter, returned to the real estate sector.
Her father always encouraged her to study civil engineering. However, she gravitated towards the technological field, earning a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a sector in which she worked for several years.
She loves reading and customer service, a passion she rekindles every day through her work as a real estate agent. She has been working independently for two years and has sold more than 15 properties.

The first sale was what prompted him to decide to stay in the real estate market. "Even though it was difficult, I understood that I could make a living from real estate, I could achieve my goal of having a business that would allow me to build a family.".
Although he is already fully established in the sector, he notes that he faces multiple obstacles, such as managing relationships between clients (buyers and sellers) and gaining trust among colleagues.
She is grateful for her training in technology, as it has allowed her to take advantage of digital platforms to position herself in the market.
He urges agents to develop their personal brand to stand out in the industry. "This is what you promote and what gives us a foothold.".
Dominguez says that this has allowed most construction companies to open their doors to him and his colleagues have helped him to continue developing and growing.
“Starting a business isn’t easy,” he says. However, he urges those interested in entering the sector to focus: “When you start alone, you start with nothing, knocking on doors and learning about the industry.”.
She recommends continuous training to keep evolving. "Don't allow yourselves to stagnate," she says. She encourages having a role model who motivates you to achieve your goals.
