SANTO DOMINGO - "I came to the Dominican Republic to buy the materials to start the wall," said Haitian businessman Marcus Boereau, explaining that he decided to begin construction of a new wall between the two nations, but not a security wall, rather a load-bearing wall.

The load-bearing wall he claims to be building is a wall that respects the borders of each country, does not support illegal immigration, and shares the best of each nation. It is a wall with a structural function; it supports other structural elements of our societies, such as businesses, wealth creation, investment, and promotes harmonious trade.

The businessman wants to show that regardless of how proud he is of his origins, the situation his country is going through does not limit him, nor the elite Haitian investors who, like him, see the Dominican Republic as a business destination.

Marcus Boereau is a professional in International Relations and Trade who is fluent in eight languages and holds a Master's degree in Economics from Shanghai University. He is also the Founder and CEO of IMAR Business Group, a China-based company with several subsidiaries that provides consulting and facilitation services for imports and exports in the Chinese market. His experience living in Asia for over 12 years has given him firsthand knowledge of Chinese culture and society, and he developed a solid career in communications and entertainment. This experience led to a natural transition into business, fueled by his work in Haitian public administration, at the Haitian embassy in Taiwan, and at the Haitian trade office in China.

In the midst of the pandemic and after being stranded in the Dominican Republic due to border closures, a personal investment ended up becoming what is now IMAR Ventures, a company that has helped dozens of people and partners make key investment decisions and ensuring their financial stability in the Dominican-Haitian real estate sector, making it the current leader in this sector.

This coming December 2nd and until the 5th in Punta Cana, they will continue to grow and will begin the exclusive Fly and Buy event where more than 150 foreign investors, together with the best of the real estate sector, will have the opportunity to learn everything it has to offer.

With this event, Marcus Boereau shows his fellow citizens and other foreign investors that the Dominican Republic is a great investment destination in the heart of the continent, with thousands of opportunities to offer, but above all, that it has the legal security and stability necessary to guarantee that investments are safe and protected by the State, in one of the most attractive enclaves in America.
