President Luis Abinader led the handover of 488 apartments in the Ciudad Real Ecológica Residential Complex, Santo Domingo East, as part of his program aimed at reducing the housing deficit in the country.
The Minister of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (Mivhed) , Carlos Bonilla , stated that these homes “are part of a large project of 2,024 housing units” that were designed to offer well-being, security, stability, opportunities and hope.
He also highlighted that more than 65% of the beneficiary families are headed by women , and 46% are young people between 18 and 35 years old , "which shows that these housing plans are also building a future for a new generation."

A total of 1,188 homes have been delivered out of a total of 2,024
The CEO of Banco de Reservas, Leonardo Aguilera , stated that of the 2,024 units that make up this project, the Government has already completed 1,118 , delivering the first 700 homes in October 2024.
Each unit is 63 square meters and features three bedrooms, a bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, balcony, laundry area, parking, bike path, gazebo, and children's play areas. Nearby amenities include schools, main roads, pharmacies, supermarkets, and a primary care and diagnostic center.
The total investment amount is RD 1,202 million , of which RD 788 million corresponds to private contribution and RD 414 million to public subsidy.
