The Government yesterday delivered 600 apartments of the Mi Vivienda San Luis , in Santo Domingo East, in an event led by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, together with the Minister of Housing and Buildings, Carlos Bonilla.
The homes were built with an investment of RD$7 billion and are part of the "My Home Plan" , which is being implemented by the Government.
The 600 apartments are in addition to the 500 homes delivered in March of this year, reaching more than 57% of homes delivered out of a total of 2,440 units of the Mi Vivienda project being carried out in San Luis .
“Today we place in your hands the keys that open the doors to your future, formally handing over 600 new apartments that add to the first 500 homes delivered last March in this same housing project,” said Vice President Raquel Peña.
"Mi Vivienda San Luis" housing project , which was built on 218,000 square meters, has three phases with 3 and 2 bedroom apartments, with more than 12,000 square meters of green areas, recreation areas and parking.
“Today we are delivering 600 apartments here in Mi Vivienda San Luis. This is the second delivery in this complex,” stated Minister Carlos Bonilla. He added that with this delivery, the government has now provided over 4,700 homes to low-income families nationwide.
