SANTO DOMINGO, DN - President Luis Abinader yesterday led the launch of a broad land titling project in the northern part of the National District , an initiative that will directly impact more than 30,000 people in communities such as Ensanche Capotillo, 24 de Abril, Simón Bolívar, Las Cañitas, Ensanche Luperón and Gualey, according to the statement from the Presidency.
The event, held on the grounds of the Santo Cura de Ars School, drew a large crowd. According to the press release, the program will cover an area of 1,400,000 square meters .
The project will continue the initiative launched in June of last year in Domingo Savio .

In his speech, President Abinader highlighted the importance of this effort, as part of the commitments made by his government to guarantee legal security and strengthen citizens' rights .
“Property titling is not just a legal document, but a symbol of dignity, belonging, and justice. Today we want to say to each of these families: 'You matter, and your well-being is a priority for us,'” the president stated.
The plan, the note says, will benefit 7,500 families and has the integration of several government institutions , including the Ministry of the Presidency , the State Land Titling Technical Unit (UTECT) , responsible for the execution of the project; the General Directorate of National Assets , the General Directorate of National Cadastre and the Real Estate Jurisdiction .
Abinader emphasized that property titling is one of the fundamental bases for building a fairer and more equitable country , by empowering communities and giving families the opportunity to prosper.
“We work to expand rights, improve opportunities, and implement projects like this one that directly impact people’s lives. This is a commitment of my government to well-being, solidarity, and social justice,” he emphasized.
"This effort is part of the Government's public policies to reduce inequality and guarantee access to the fundamental rights of Dominicans, to consolidate trust in institutions and strengthen the legal security of thousands of families in the country," the Presidency points out.
