Don't get distracted on assignment, focus on good service, AEI urges new agents

An enthusiastic, mostly young, virtual audience actively participated by expressing their concerns, taking advantage of the facilitators' experience, and asking for their guidance on how to practice the profession correctly.

SANTO DOMINGO - With a reflection for participants to focus their work as real estate agents on service without being distracted by material gain, the AEI, Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies, concluded last night its last CBR 01 certification of the year, in which about 150 people interested in entering the real estate business participated.

"Forget about commissions because the first priority is solving the problems of those who request our help, providing top-notch service. Today's customers are well-informed, therefore agents should not behave like salespeople, but like advisors," said Alberto Bogaert, president of the institution.

Therefore, he urged beginners to dedicate time and training to the business because that will guarantee their success. He thanked the audience for attending, highlighting that in ten months the organization he represents issued 726 certifications for training programs and announced that next year the AEI will offer international certifications.

Throughout the week, various experts shared their knowledge with participants on diverse topics related to the market. Introduction to the real estate business, money laundering, trusts, ethics, fundraising, appraisal, the history of the AEI (State Investment Agency), digital marketing, legal aspects of the sector, teamwork, and more were among the topics covered.

Juan Estévez of Mr Home was the special closing guest, who used the question/answer methodology which allowed for greater interaction from the audience who for an hour listened attentively to the guidelines and advice to practice the profession with ethics and efficiency; in addition to sharing the keys that have allowed him to position himself as one of the main leaders in the sector.

Marbel Lugo discussed teamwork and explained the need to work with a defined vision, focused on the same direction and with the same passion. She spoke about the importance of company culture and sharing the same values.

“To create a high-performing team, you must have a group attuned to emotional intelligence, since it is the ability that human beings have to forge relationships, resolve conflicts, and express feelings,” he explained.

“We must be able to control our emotions because that is what helps us achieve our goals and purposes. It is so powerful that an interpretation can determine your destiny. We must get rid of the negative and have spaces to release anger,” she said.

Among those registered are Iandra Jorge Reyes, Altagracia Rodríguez, Greisy Grullón, Elizandra Luciano, Gissel Morfa, Henry Lora, Jerry Rodriguez, Ehimer Cruz, Carlos Tavarez, Rocky Encarnación, Edward De Jesús, Anabel Ruiz, Starlin Rodríguez, Wendalina Pérez, among others.

“I am very grateful to participate in this CBR 01, which has provided us with valuable information, some of which we overlooked. I urge all agents who come to join the AEI to provide clear and truthful information to all their clients,” Iandra Reyes stated in a video testimony.
