In Punta Cana, architect and businesswoman Yermys Peña, CEO Partner of Construger and founder of Studio YP, highlighted the main international trends that in her opinion will define the profitability and sustainability of the real estate market in the coming years.
In presenting her vision for the future of real estate development in Punta Cana, the country's leading tourist destination, the businesswoman emphasized the importance of diversification, sustainability, and the support of technology as a tool.
Participating in the 10th Latin American CILA-AEI Congress, Yermys Peña highlighted the role of artificial intelligence applied to urban planning, not only as a design tool but also as a predictive model capable of anticipating real demand, optimizing planning, and reducing financial risks for investors and developers.
Secondly, she proposed the evolution of sustainability towards active regeneration, that is, projects that give back to the environment more than they consume, thus protecting the appreciation of assets and ensuring their long-term value.
The business leader emphasized the potential of hybrid urbanism that could transform Punta Cana into a global productivity hub, where tourism, housing, remote work, and well-being converge, reducing dependence on seasonal tourism and generating diversified income throughout the year.
Peña concluded by stating that “the future of the market lies not in building more of the same, but in anticipating, regenerating, and diversifying. At Construger and Studio YP, we are committed to leading this change, creating developments that are not only profitable, but also mark a turning point in how we invest in the Caribbean.”
