SANTO DOMINGO. - Banco de Reservas developed an extensive business agenda at the IFTM Top Resa tourism fair, held in Paris, with meetings with investors and tour operators, to encourage financing for tourism investment in the Dominican Republic.
The round of meetings was led by the Bank's CEO, Samuel Pereyra, and the Tourism Business area; and took place in the Bank's office, located in the Dominican Republic stand, within the fairgrounds.
As part of the activities, the financial institution inaugurated an exhibition “Charms of the Caribbean”, consisting of four pieces by the artist Juan Trinidad, made from centuries-old oak, which will remain open until the 19th of this month, when the fair will conclude.
The artist, originally from Bonao, thanked Banco de Reservas for the support received to present this exhibition in the European city, as part of the projection of the Dominican Republic within the framework of IFTM Top Resa.
Pereyra, upon thanking the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, for his presence at the exhibition, reiterated the Bank's support for art and culture and pledged to continue supporting such activities, both in the country and in international settings.
He recalled that Banreservas recently sponsored an exhibition of a work by Iván Tovar in Times Square, in New York City.
The opening of “Encantos del Caribe” was attended by the Dominican ambassador to UNESCO, Andrés L. Mateo; the ambassador to France, Rosa Grullón; and the French ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Sonia Barbry, as well as senior executives from the Bank's tourism business area and the general public.
