Arajet connects the Dominican Republic with Brazil with a new Santo Domingo – Sao Paulo route

SANTO DOMINGO.- Arajet, the Caribbean's low-cost airline, announced its new Santo Domingo (SDQ) – Sao Paulo (GRU) route, beginning a new chapter of connectivity between the Dominican Republic and Brazil with an introductory fare of only US$166 per segment (including taxes and fees) valid until tomorrow in June.

“Our new route to Brazil represents a milestone not only for Arajet's operations but for Dominican aviation as a whole,” stated Víctor Pacheco Méndez, CEO and founder of Arajet. “Santo Domingo and São Paulo will be connected directly and nonstop, allowing all Dominicans to experience the giant of South America,” he added.

The new route will begin operating on Thursday, September 21, offering three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, departing Santo Domingo at 7:20 PM and arriving in São Paulo at 3:35 AM, and departing São Paulo at 5:45 AM and arriving in Santo Domingo at 11:50 AM. The Arajet nonstop flight will have an approximate duration of 7 hours and 15 minutes.

“It is very exciting to see how Arajet continues to increase its network of destinations from Santo Domingo, and we are very proud that our SDQ airport serves as the base of operations for this great airline,” said Mónika Infante Henríquez, CEO of AERODOM.

“This new direct flight to São Paulo, Brazil will make it easier for more tourists to come and discover all that the Dominican Republic has to offer, while also allowing more Dominicans to experience the beautiful and vibrant city of São Paulo thanks to the attractive fares offered by Arajet. At AERODOM, we will continue working to provide passengers with the best airport experience upon arrival and departure from the country,” he stated.

With this launch, Arajet begins its cycle of opening new destinations to South America in 2023 and increases to 18 the destinations it offers in 12 countries: Sao Paulo in Brazil, Lima in Peru, Quito and Guayaquil in Ecuador, Bogota, Medellin, Cali, Barranquilla and Cartagena in Colombia, San Jose in Costa Rica, Guatemala City in Guatemala, San Salvador in El Salvador, Mexico City and Cancun in Mexico, and Aruba, Curacao, Saint Martin and Jamaica in the Caribbean.
