Airbnb and FIFA announced a partnership spanning three tournaments to offer unforgettable travel experiences to fans, along with economic opportunities for local communities and support for host cities.
A press release highlights that during the three-year collaboration, Airbnb will be an official partner of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, an official promoter of the FIFA World Cup 26™ in North America, and an official promoter of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027™ in the Americas. Furthermore, Airbnb will offer official fan accommodations globally through its platform at all three tournaments.
“The World Cup unites the world — and so do we. Airbnb is proud to partner with FIFA to offer fans once-in-a-lifetime experiences during the tournaments, while welcoming hundreds of thousands of guests during the 2026 FIFA World Cup and generating a significant economic impact for local communities,” said Brian Chesky, co-founder and CEO of Airbnb.
For his part, FIFA President Gianni Infantino said: “We are delighted to welcome Airbnb to FIFA, and we are excited that they will take on such an important role in three historic tournaments ahead.”.
“The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will be a defining competition for future generations and will transform club football globally. Meanwhile, the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the biggest tournament ever, with 48 teams competing across three host countries. Then, a year later, the FIFA Women’s World Cup will be held for the first time in South America. Having a leader in the travel industry like Airbnb on board is something special. Together, we will continue to see how football unites the world.”
Unique travel and football experiences
Along with the thousands of experiences already available on the platform, starting yesterday, June 16, fans can join a private training session with iconic US goalkeeper Tim Howard , watch a FIFA Club World Cup match from the stands alongside US soccer legend Cobi Jones , or go behind the scenes of a pre-match analysis session led by a senior expert from FIFA’s Technical Study Group. These experiences are now available to book and will take place during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, which kicks off on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
“Soccer has the power to unite people in unforgettable ways,” said Tim Howard, one of the greatest American players of all time and an Airbnb Experience host.
