President Luis Abinader yesterday delivered 819 property titles out of a total of 1,955 that the project has, which will directly impact more than 7,820 people in the municipality of Esperanza, Valverde province.
This land titling project benefits the sectors Primero de Mayo, Boca de Mao, Cristóbal Colón, Los Patitos, María Auxiliadora, Paraíso, Tito Cabrera, San Miguel, Bello Atardecer, Los Girasoles, Villa Nueva and Villa Muñoz.
At the event, the president assured that he works every day to achieve the legal security that Dominicans deserve and highlighted that the importance of these titles for families lies in the fact that before their properties belonged to them in fact, but today they belong to them in fact and in law.
"Therefore, in this community of Esperanza, we have faith that the vast majority of the inhabitants will finish with their title in these years, and that is a great objective that we have," Abinader stated.
The president reported that in this municipality of Esperanza, work is underway on another project to deliver some 1,600 titles corresponding to a private land , with which the Government is reaching an agreement.
Additionally, he indicated, there are other plots of land belonging to the city council that are being worked on through the Dominican Municipal League to be delivered in the next 12 to 16 months.
The head of state insisted on his call to churches and community leaders to serve as intermediaries and create a special monitoring commission, so that all the titles can be delivered to the families covered by the entire project who have not yet agreed on the final name for the delivery.
"Help us to help you, to formalize your economy, to carry out this act of true social justice, because today that land where you live had a value and when you enter through that door and we give you this title, at least that value more than doubles because you now have it legally," the president said.
