SANTO DOMINGO - Executives from the tourism industry publication CTN presented details of the 23rd edition of "CTN Vacations: Expo Fair 2024" at a cocktail reception. This traditional event is where Dominican families plan their vacations both within the Dominican Republic and abroad.
During the press conference held in the Tempranillo room of Cava Alta, Miguel A. Calzada León, president of CTN and Puro Turismo, highlighted that this XXIII edition of “CTN Vacations: Expo-Fair 2024” will allow the public to enjoy for three days the best vacation options with the most attractive offers on the market.
Calzada León stated that this new version of the fair, like previous ones, aims to allow participants (hotels, travel agencies, airlines, car rental companies, tourist real estate companies, companies offering complementary tourist services, and participants linked to the tourism industry) to sell their offers to the attending public not only for this summer, but also for the end of the year and any other time of year at truly attractive prices and with financing plans from the main participating commercial banks, which accompany us year after year, such as Banco Popular and Banreservas.
This year, “CTN Vacations: Expo Fair 2024” will be dedicated in memory of Frank Hans Danenberg Castellanos, for his vision and commitment to his country, the Dominican Republic, in the commercial, hotel, and commercial aviation sectors, and for his dedication as Ambassador to diplomacy with the passion and full-time commitment that characterized him in favor of the country.
As in its previous versions, CTN will grant special recognitions to institutions and personalities that have contributed and continue to contribute to the development and success of national tourism.
The fair will once again feature the active participation of the School of Tourism of the Ibero-American University (Unibe), where students will have the opportunity to experience the design and assembly of events of this nature, as part of their practical training and internship, providing cross-cutting support during the event in the protocol and presence aspects at this important meeting.
New features will be offered, such as a children's area, where parents attending with their little ones can enjoy a space with many attractions and activities.
The Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel, the venue for the Fair, will offer a special price for day passes to its pool area, as well as special packages for those wishing to stay overnight in its rooms. They will also offer special meal deals and the opportunity to visit points of interest in Santo Domingo. These amenities will be available to visitors and exhibitors from outside the capital.
On Friday, July 12th at 10:00 a.m., a talk, open to the public, will be offered as an introduction to the panel on "The Zargasso Sea: a great challenge for the Dominican Republic " which will be held in collaboration with Asonahores, CODESSD, Unibe, El Nuevo Diario, CTN and Puro Turismo.
This 23rd edition of “CTN Vacations: Expo Fair 2024” will be completely free, so that all Dominican families can attend and enjoy the best offers they will receive during those three days.
