SANTO DOMINGO. -The General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transportation (Digesett) awareness video aimed at the country's drivers , with the collaboration of the renowned comedians Raymond Pozo and Miguel Céspedes , who joined the call to drive prudently to save lives.
The video, produced by renowned film director Archie López , is an initiative that seeks to create a greater level of awareness among the population about the importance of respecting traffic laws, given the alarming number of people who lost their lives in accidents during 2024 in the Dominican Republic.
The director of Digesett, General Pascual Cruz Méndez (PN), explained that these types of campaigns are part of the institution's efforts to reduce the high accident rate on the country's roads . “We cannot allow recklessness and disrespect for the law to continue claiming so many lives. This message, with the support of beloved figures like Raymond and Miguel, is a direct call to every driver to assume their role responsibly,” he stated.
Raymond Pozo and Miguel Céspedes expressed their satisfaction at being able to contribute to this cause through art and responsible humor , reiterating that true change begins with the attitude of each citizen behind the wheel.
