SANTO DOMINGO – Playa Nueva Romana announced the opening of its new FootGolf course, an innovative concept that combines the excitement of soccer with the precision of golf. This game is designed to offer owners, residents, and visitors a unique entertainment and sporting experience for fans of both disciplines.
This course has been officially certified by the Confederation of International FootGolf (COIFG) and the Dominican FootGolf Federation, becoming the first FootGolf course in the Dominican Republic. With this certification, the course is authorized to host future national and international competitions for this sport, which is already considered a global phenomenon, according to a press release.
“FootGolf is a hybrid activity that integrates the best of both sports into a single game. We are very pleased to be the first FootGolf course in the Dominican Republic and to be endorsed by COIF, providing our owners and residents with a new recreational space. We hope to host many tournaments in the short and medium term,” commented Carlos de Linares, general manager of PGA Ocean’s 4.
The FootGolf course at Playa Nueva Romana stretches across wide green areas, with a series of natural and artificial obstacles, such as hills, bunkers and water areas, that challenge the skill and strategy of the players, all while enjoying the spectacular scenery of the PGA Ocean's 4 Executive Course.
FootGolf is a sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels. From families looking to spend a fun day together to groups of friends or coworkers seeking a friendly challenge, the course offers a recreational activity that combines exercise, skill, and above all, entertainment.
