These were the housing plans announced yesterday during President Abinader's visit to Santo Domingo East

SANTO DOMINGO.- Speaking as part of the delegation that accompanied President Luis Abinader to Santo Domingo East yesterday, the Minister of Housing, Habitat and Buildings, Carlos Bonilla, announced that nearly three thousand homes will be incorporated into the official programs to alleviate the housing deficit in the eastern zone.

In this regard, he referred to the 2,500 units of the My Home Plan that are being built in San Luis and that would be completed next year, 450 homes that will be worked on starting next January in San Luis and Los Tres Brazos and 400 homes that were worked on as part of Dominicana se Reconstruye in San Isidro, Los Frailes, Boca Chica, Los Mameyes, among others; which adds up to more than three thousand units.

Another project he mentioned is the completion of the construction of an apartment complex in Invivienda that were inhabited before completion and that their respective title certificates can be granted to their owners.

Mass delivery of titles

The director of the Titling Commission, Mérido Torres, announced the delivery of 1815 property titles in Los Minas, Catanga and Vietnam in mid-November for a first stage, and another 1800 titles in a second stage.

Seven thousand land titles are being processed for the community of El Almirante and five thousand land titles for the benefit of La Ureña, in four stages.

Another 3,000 titles will be delivered in Los Frailes; 1,850 in La Isabelita, Maquiteria and Los Mameyes; 1,300 in San Luis and 743 in Villa Carmen and 19,000 more in Villa Tropicalia.

Revolution in SDE

The numerous projects announced by the government in Santo Domingo East, some already underway, total 20 billion pesos and create solutions in areas such as citizen security, infrastructure, water, employment, property titles, housing, garbage collection, and more.

The Provincial Development Commission has budgeted 450 million for the construction of police outposts in Maquiteria, Villa Liberación, Cruce de Guerra, El Tamarindo, El Almirante and the Felicidad and Ozama extensions.

Similarly, the reconstruction of multipurpose facilities in San Lorenzo and Los Minas was announced, as well as a softball field in Ensanche Isabelita and a mixed court in Los Tres Brazos.

Another 25 million will be allocated for the renovation of the Columbus Lighthouse, a project that has already been tendered and awarded.

The Malecón of Santo Domingo East will be renovated with an investment of RD $5.5 million

The Ministry of Tourism, with the presence of the President of the Republic, presented the improvement works of the Malecón of Santo Domingo Este , a project that will be carried out with an investment of 550 million pesos.

President Luis Abinader, who led the event held this Sunday on España Avenue, highlighted that the project, which could begin this year and be completed in 18 months, will bring greater economic development and quality of life to the entire area.
