A solid infrastructure, diversified tourism, and business opportunities make Cap Cana a benchmark to present at the Safe Metro Forum 2026, on how tourism and real estate development can generate economic activity and attract capital to the Dominican Republic
SANTO DOMINGO. – The Safe Metro Forum 2026, under the slogan “Connecting Investments”, will feature a special guest representing one of the most promising proposals for tourism and real estate development in the Dominican Republic: Cap Cana Destination City.
The meeting will bring together experts, businesspeople and professionals linked to construction, tourism, the real estate sector and other strategic areas of the Dominican economy on September 29, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the Grand Hall of the Catalonia Santo Domingo Hotel.
The activity seeks to consolidate itself as a space for the exchange of knowledge and the generation of business between companies, investors and professionals from different sectors.
Cap Cana's participation as a guest tourist destination will allow us to put into perspective the development model that has made this community a benchmark for investment, hospitality, entertainment, nature and quality of life.
Much more than a tourist destination
Located on the East Coast of the Dominican Republic, in the province of La Altagracia, Cap Cana has established itself as a planned Destination City that integrates tourism, real estate development, services, gastronomy, entertainment, investments and high-level experiences.
The development began construction in early 2000 at the initiative of the Hazoury family. Behind the image that millions of visitors associate with beaches, hotels, and Caribbean landscapes, there is also a business structure that has created a community with multiple opportunities for residents, visitors, and investors, whose reach extends beyond the traditional concept of a vacation destination.
The macro-project adds to that base a variety of residential projects, villas, apartments, hotels and properties geared towards both the local and international market, with alternatives ranging from housing and second homes to temporary stays with all-inclusive international chain hotels.
According to institutional information, the project is being developed on an area of 120 million square meters, about 30,000 acres, of which its first phase covered 35 million square meters and included 5.5 kilometers of beach.
Entertainment at the service of the real estate business
In addition to this real estate offering, there is a range of attractions that reinforce Cap Cana as an investment destination: beaches such as Juanillo and Api Beach, a marina that serves as a base for nautical tourism and sport fishing, the Punta Espada and Las Iguanas golf courses, both designed by Jack Nicklaus, and entertainment spaces such as the Scape Park eco-adventure park and the El Dorado water park; it also has Los Establos, and several other sports facilities, along with a gastronomic and hotel offering geared towards the luxury segment.
This diversity caters to investors, families, and travelers, both domestic and international.
Connecting with security and sustainability
The Safe Metro Forum is an annual event that, in its second phase of development, will celebrate its second edition, coinciding with the fifth anniversary of Grupo de Medios El Inmobiliario, a media ecosystem that includes a digital portal, print publications, the magazine Mujer de Concreto, the podcast La Ventana, and the Forum itself. The event is designed to connect the real estate and construction sectors with knowledge, credibility, and capital to foster safer and more sustainable growth.
