SANTO DOMINGO. – The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) announced yesterday, Friday, that today, Saturday, September 13, 2025, the Floating Bridge over the Ozama River will be closed to vehicular traffic from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The measure is necessary to allow the passage of the vessel R/M ALPAYO, which will be departing from the shipyards of M&D Marine Repairs, SA, highlights a press release from the state entity.
The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) recommends that drivers and citizens traveling between Greater Santo Domingo and Santo Domingo East take alternate routes during those two hours to avoid delays.
In the press release, the institution reiterated its commitment to keeping the public informed and to working in coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic on this important road corridor.
