EGI Business Group announced the signing of a contract with Hilton, a leading global hotel company, for the construction of the new Hampton by Hilton Punta Cana. Scheduled to open in 2026, this will be the brand's first hotel in this tourist area and its second in the country.
“This commitment represents our dedication to excellence and traveler satisfaction and marks a milestone in the region’s tourism evolution,” commented Iker Aguirre, CEO of EGI Business Group.
The construction of the hotel, which will be located in the center of Punta Cana, is scheduled to begin in 2024 and involves an investment of about 16 million dollars, according to an institutional statement.
“The signing of this agreement reinforces Hilton’s plan to practically triple our portfolio in the Dominican Republic over the next five years,” said Pablo Maturana, Hilton’s Vice President of Development for the Caribbean and Latin America.
EGI Business Group's Sales & Marketing Director, Gregoria Enke, stated that they expect this new hotel to become the preferred choice for business travelers, groups, congresses, as well as tourists seeking an exceptional experience in Punta Cana, a destination that received more than 2.8 million foreign visitors between January and July of this year.
