SANTO DOMINGO – Last February, Colombia was one of the top three countries sending tourists to the Dominican Republic. Likewise, Dominican interest in visiting the South American country is growing daily.
Hence, trade ties between both nations are strengthened, and that is why the Dominican Republic has been selected as the guest nation of the 17th edition of the Gran Salón Inmobiliario, one of the most far-reaching international fairs in that country.
““Our country has never been on a stage like this, where Dominican properties will be showcased. People know us for hotels and all-inclusive resorts, for Punta Cana, but they didn't know the advantages of investing in Dominican land,” explains Belkis Cuello, head of international affairs for the Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies (AEI), the event's organizer.
The exhibition will take place from August 10th to 13th of this year, 2023. Cuello understands that it is a great opportunity for Dominican real estate agencies and developers to showcase their projects and the many offers available in the Dominican market.
“It is a fair where the real estate sector, the quality of its properties and the benefits that the country offers to investors, such as the CONFOTUR law, will be highlighted,” adds the real estate advisor.
In his opinion, this is the ideal time for the real estate sector, given the interest shown by Colombian investors in considering new investment options outside their country, especially in suitable nations such as the opportunities offered by the Dominican system.
Cuello invites agencies and companies to join the meeting they will hold tomorrow, Thursday, at 9:00 AM, where Lilian Conde, representative of the event, will answer the questions of interested agencies and companies, and the benefits that AEI members will have will be announced.
About the exhibition
The Great Real Estate Show is the fair that presents the most complete offer of new and used projects, of residential type, offices, hotels, commercial premises, national and international industrial parks, financial and complementary services, where the presence and support of the most recognized construction companies, developers, real estate companies and financial entities among others, with an attractive and wide offer of projects.
Participating countries include Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, the United States, among others.
More than 19,000 people are expected to participate. The target audience is 25 years and older, including families or couples interested in buying homes and/or investment projects, and potential business buyers.
The pavilions include commercial, international, new projects, second-hand properties, financial services, prefabricated houses, among others.
