SANTO DOMINGO – Communication in the real estate sector has evolved rapidly in recent years, facing significant challenges due to digitalization and high client expectations. Yanerys De León, a real estate advisor with over 10 years of experience in media and government institutions, shares her perspective on these challenges and how she has managed to stand out in this industry.
The professional, who joined the real estate world in 2019, stated that effective communication has been key to her success. “I used my knowledge to build my personal brand and achieve excellent results, earning multiple awards as a top-selling advisor at Echenique Real Estate,” she emphasized.
In an interview with El Inmobiliario, he highlighted the freedom of time and the satisfaction of helping his clients achieve their dreams as the most appealing aspects of this profession. “It’s not about keeping to a schedule, but about achieving goals, and being part of such an important process for my clients is an honor,” he commented.

De León pointed out that social media is fundamental for communication in the real estate world. “What isn't promoted doesn't exist,” he said, quoting Ismael Cala. He also emphasized the importance of traditional media and creating valuable content, such as webinars, to educate clients.
He also pointed out the biggest challenges facing the niche, with the resistance of many players to adapting to new digital tools being one of the main ones, in his opinion. “The customer buys from the person, not the product. That's why humanizing the brand is essential,” he stated.
It also underlines the need to improve communication skills, especially when speaking in public and in front of cameras.
Regarding trends, video marketing and the use of technologies like the new reality, as well as drones and artificial intelligence, stand out as tools that optimize the shopping experience. Despite these advances, the lack of training in online communication is cited as one of the biggest obstacles.
Yanerys recommends that those wishing to enter the real estate sector constantly train in persuasive communication. "If you don't know how to structure your ideas, even the best product can go unnoticed," she advises.
Finally, he sees the future of real estate communication as a field full of opportunities for those who hone their communication skills. "Effective communication will be the key to success in the coming years," he concludes.
