José Xavier Álvarez Blancas, a civil engineer and president of the Mexican Swimming Pool Association, with 27 years of experience in the design and construction of swimming pools and related projects, came from Mexico along with Paty Abreu to promote swimming pool construction courses. He also shared the stage with Flavio Di Lorenzo from the Dominican Republic.

“The first thing to do is to be aware of the risks involved in building a swimming pool. There are codes and recommendations regarding depth. It has to be kept clean somehow, and hydraulically, it has to be done in a way that meets the required parameters. Electrically, everything has to be working so that no one gets electrocuted in the process. You have to be very methodical about that,” Álvarez Blancas stated.

A violist closed the meeting by delivering exquisite music for the enjoyment of the more than 300 participants in the meeting, which offered varied content on the current state of the construction sector, its new developments and trends.
