Real Estate Registry presents innovations to construction sector guilds in the East

PUNTA CANA - Since its arrival in 2020, the Real Estate Registry (RI) has implemented plans for constant improvements and innovations that include the professionalization of technical staff, seeking to facilitate the user experience when requesting and following up on procedures and processes.

This was conveyed by the general administrator of the state body, engineer Jhonatan Toribio Frías, in a meeting with members of the Association of Builders and Developers of the province of La Altagracia (ADECLA) and the Association of Hotels and Tourist Projects of the Eastern Zone (ASOLESTE), where he explained the improvements and challenges that the institution has had since he assumed his functions.

During a meeting held at the Four Points Hotel in Punta Cana, the RI shared with the participants the comprehensive transformation process that the institution has been developing, which includes the improvement and consolidation of digital tools, standardization and automation of processes, leveling of response times, expansion of contact channels and increase in operational capacity, all initiatives aimed at providing timely response to the needs of users.

Among the innovations they cited were making electronic payment of fees available to users with credit or debit cards, the RI mobile application, the strengthening of virtual offices, remote deposit at the national level, the deposit box for procedures without assistance, the implementation of the system of virtual consultations and appearances and the consultation of the cadastral parcel, available from the portal www.ri.gob.do, to facilitate the due diligence of the real estate procedure and the simplification of requirements.

Similarly, since 2021, the institution has been implementing, through its social networks, an educational communication campaign about its services and processes.

Toribio was accompanied by Ricardo Noboa, National Director of Title Registration, surveyor Ridomil Rojas, National Director of Cadastral Surveys, and José Moisés Frías, registrar attached to the RI in Higüey, who emphasized the importance of these meetings.

For their part, the directors of ADECLA and ASOLESTE expressed their concerns while also expressing their gratitude for the institution's openness.

As part of the agenda, RI executives shared their plans and projects for 2023, with the goal of continuing to contribute to the development of the country's real estate sector.
