The Dominican Port Authority (APORDOM) highlighted that the provinces of Puerto Plata, through the Amber Cove and Taíno Bay terminals, and Pedernales through the port of Cabo Rojo, will receive 22 cruise ships, as part of the schedule of vessels that will arrive in the country for the month of August of this year.
The executive director of the Dominican Port Authority, Jean Luis Rodríguez, highlighted the great importance of the frequent arrival of cruise ships at the various terminals, which confirms that the Dominican Republic is an ideal destination for cruise passengers, thanks to the facilities and amenities provided at the ports.
He added that, in the cruise ship arrival report for the month of August, the Amber Cove terminal will receive the most ships with 12, followed by Taíno Bay with 8 and Port Cabo Rojo with 2.
He also reported that the cruise ships that will be calling at Dominican ports are: MSC World America, Norwegian Aqua, Carnival Celebration, Carnival Vista, Oasis of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas, Carnival Mardi Gras, Carnival Sunshine, Carnival Magic, MSC Seascape, MSC World America, Celebrity Beyond, Carnival Vista, Island Princess, Freedom of the Seas and Norwegian Escape.
The Dominican Port Authority, through a notification, explains that according to the established schedule for the arrival of cruise passengers, the dates may vary, in case of situations in the atmospheric conditions, which would lead to modifications in the routes drawn by the cruise lines.
