SANTO DOMINGO. -The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) announced that it will close vehicular traffic on the Duarte Bridge today, Thursday the 18th, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow, Friday the 19th, for routine maintenance and cleaning.
The Duarte Bridge, located over the Ozama River, connects the National District with the municipality of Santo Domingo East. Drivers can also use the Juan Bosch Bridge, which runs parallel to the Duarte Bridge, as well as the Floating Bridge and the Mella Bridge (known as the Bicycle Bridge), to cross from one side to the other.
The information was provided by the Director of Bridge Maintenance, engineer Romer Francisco Pérez Vargas, through the Directorate of Communications and Press of Public Works.
The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) asks for the public's understanding, especially from those who travel along that structure, for the inconveniences that the measure may cause.
