MICHES, EL SEIBO PROVINCE.- The El Seibo-Miches Hotel and Tourism Association Promiches held its 2nd Ordinary General Assembly of 2024 in which it elected the new board of directors that will preside over the entity for the period 2024-2026.
According to a press release, the organization will be headed by William Phelan (Four Seasons by Tropicalia) as its new president, accompanied by George A. Nader (Maralda), vice president; Luis Manuel Hernández (Secrets and Dreams Playa Esmeralda), treasurer; and Paola Mora and Giselle Pérez (Club Med Miches) as secretary.
Also serving as board members are Rafael Papo Blanco (Viva Miches by Wyndham); Cristian Medina (Zemí All-Inclusive Resort by Hilton); Alfredo Guzmán and Giselle Pérez (Aldea Miches); Yamil Isaías (Development Sicuani); Jason Sees (Agroindustrias Carlyle Sees); and Giovanni Rainieri (Corporación Celedín).

During the Assembly, the progress and results of the association's work and administration plan were discussed, collectively defining the priority points that will guide PROMICHES' strategic actions towards 2025, explains the press document.
Recognition
The event recognized the outstanding work of its outgoing president, Yamil Isaías, who led the association for two consecutive terms, "leaving a legacy of commitment to the sustainable tourism development of the Miches destination. His leadership was honored with a commemorative plaque highlighting his significant contribution to the region's growth.".
"The event reaffirmed the strength of Promiches thanks to the active participation of its members, a fundamental element for the success of the institution and the positioning of Miches as a benchmark tourist destination in the Dominican Republic.".
With this new direction, the information assures, the organization renews its commitment to continue working towards inclusive, sustainable and competitive tourism development that benefits the entire community residing in the region.
