Promoting sustainability in finance
Finances with Purpose is Popular's financial education program. Since 2014, it has sought to promote financial inclusion and well-being among the Dominican population, aiming to create a conscious and informed citizenry and improve their lives and businesses through sound financial management.
The initiative includes giving talks and workshops to companies, non-governmental organizations, company collaborators, as well as students and teaching and administrative staff of academic entities throughout the country, with a view to promoting access to credit and reducing delinquency as key factors in financial health.
In addition, it includes the program "Saving is good for us," which playfully promotes the importance of a savings plan among children, aiming to create healthy financial habits from an early age.
Within the framework of the program, the Finance with Purpose Academy has been created, a free digital initiative to extend financial education in the country.
Thus, since 2014, the Finance with Purpose initiative has delivered a total of 1,639 talks, reaching 181,830 people. The Finance with Purpose Academy registered 14,591 enrollments and received 388,853 visits. In addition, 508 copies of the children's story "Financial Adventure" were downloaded, and its website received 2,280 visits.
In addition to financial education, Popular offers a range of savings planning products to help you achieve your financial goals, including accounts to create an emergency fund, plan your savings, and achieve goals such as buying a home.
