SANTO DOMINGO – The Metropolitan Bus Services Operator (OMSA) announced that during the New Year's Eve and New Year's celebrations, its buses will be operating on a modified schedule.
In a press release, the entity explained that tomorrow, Wednesday, December 31 , buses will run from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., while during the New Year holiday, on Thursday, January 1, the vehicles will operate from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
For Three Kings Day, whose holiday is moved to January 5, 2026, the hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The entity's general manager, Onéximo González, reiterated his call for prudence. He asked citizens to welcome the new year with moderation, avoiding excesses, but above all, not to consume alcohol if they are going to drive.
Starting Wednesday, January 7, 2026, OMSA buses will resume their regular routes on the streets.
