SANTO DOMINGO. The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) reported this Friday on the partial closure of vehicular traffic on the Las Américas highway, in both directions of the expressway, due to the dismantling of the beams of the pedestrian bridge located at kilometer 12 of this important road.
In that regard, to reduce the difficulties that these works may cause to drivers, Public Works indicated that the work will be carried out at night, from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22.
Traffic will continue gradually
Public Works explained that the restrictions will be applied gradually, so the passage of vehicles will not be completely prevented during the execution of the works.
Drivers will be able to travel along the designated sections while the dismantling work progresses.
As alternatives for those who need to travel through the area, the Ecological Avenue and the Las Américas marginal road will be available.
