SANTO DOMINGO.- The Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Mitur) announced that it will promote the new tourist destination “Miches”, as part of its participation in the 44th edition of the Tourism Showcase of the Colombian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (ANATO 2025).
“At the ANATO 2025 trade fair, the Dominican Republic will dedicate its space to Miches, as the main destination, as part of our strategy to position ourselves in foreign markets. Our other destinations will also be present at the fair,” the minister said on his social media.
He added that “We received more than 300,000 visitors from Colombia last year, so ANATO, one of the most important trade fairs in Latin America, is the ideal space for the Dominican Republic to continue shining.”.
This year's fair, themed "Open to the World," will feature Santa Marta as the national guest destination and Brazil as the international guest destination, with the participation of more than 32 countries. The fair will take place from February 26 to 28 in Bogotá, Colombia.
ANATO represents the most important business platform for promoting Colombia, where industry professionals have the opportunity to discover, in one place, the range of
tourism products and services offered by exhibitors from different countries and all regions of Colombia, seeking commercial alliances that contribute to the consolidation of the industry.
More than 50,000 professional visitors attend the fair with the presence of exhibitors
belonging to the 32 departments of Colombia, as well as the participation of entrepreneurs from more than 32 countries.
