The inauguration of the new board will take place on the 15th of this month, for which a mass has been scheduled at the Las Mercedes Church, a visit to the Altar of the Fatherland and a party to celebrate the triumph of the new leaders.
SANTO DOMINGO. – Civil engineer Cristian Rojas Mora is the new president of the Dominican College of Engineers, Architects and Surveyors (CODIA), having won the union's elections held on the fifth of this month of August.
The new board of directors will be in charge of the union's plans during the 2022-2023 term. Rojas Mora headed the "Codiana Union Integrity" slate. "We Continue Changing" was the slogan of the first slate, which was headed by the newly elected president.

Approximately 43,544 engineers, architects, and surveyors from across the country were eligible to vote. Only those who were up-to-date on their payments were allowed to vote.
Rojas, who is the current treasurer of the organization that brings together the country's architects, engineers, and surveyors, had massive support in an election characterized by transparency and good organization.
The new president will be accompanied in his administration by surveyor Juan Antonio Villar, as general secretary; engineer Carlos Mendoza, treasurer; agronomist Yrene López, secretary of education and events; architect Nidia Altagracia Abreu, recording secretary; geologist Enrique Tosario García, secretary of public relations; and architect Geovanny Lorenzo, secretary of inter-union affairs.
“We are going to continue guiding the destiny of Codia to move forward,” Rojas Mora said as he cast his vote.
