Julissa Burgos's "Practical Guide" to contribute to the confidence and security of real estate investment in the Dominican Republic

SANTO DOMINGO.- Julissa Burgos is a businesswoman who wanted to capture her more than 25 years of experience in the real estate industry in a written work to inform current and future generations about the Dominican real estate system; as well as to guide investors towards making a well-informed decision.

His book, "Real Estate in the Dominican Republic: A Practical Guide," is a valuable resource for audiences interested in finding information that will lead them to confidence and security when investing their capital in real estate.

“My main contribution is to publicize the entire Dominican real estate system and provide people with all the information they need to make the best decision to invest in real estate, to grow their business, or to fulfill their lifelong dream of acquiring their home and their most valuable asset,” the author told El Inmobiliario.

His work has been written, he continues, with the aim of guiding the reader through each process in a didactic way, with interactive resources that allow the printed book to be connected with information linked to the internet so that they are always up-to-date and can have contact with the direct sources that generate the updated information.”.

Innovation has been a key resource employed by the author, who has incorporated easily identifiable icons into the content: “Readers can easily identify if a text contains an example document, an internet link, a process explained graphically and concisely, allowing them to easily follow the process described in the corresponding chapter, or an infographic that visually represents the entire process explained throughout the book. In short, all readers will be able to learn the content easily, simply, and logically,” emphasizes the Executive Vice President of the Burgos Group and BG Constructora e Inmobiliaria.

Burgos is originally from Santo Domingo, married to Jeancarlo Ferrando with whom she had Emma and Piero, graduated Cum Laude in Business Administration from the National University Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), with a master's degree in Accounting and Financial Management from the Pontifical Catholic University Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and the Universite Montesquieau Bordeaux IV, France.

She has extensive experience in fields such as diplomacy, marketing, business, communication, and real estate law, among others. She has been a member of the Association of Housing Builders and Developers (ACOPROVI) since 2008, currently serving as its 3rd Vice President; she is also a member of the Association of Realtors and Companies (AIE) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR) in the United States.

The first copy of the book was given to President Luis Abinader, within the framework of the 8th National Housing Roundtable, where the launch took place, and who ordered that it could be acquired by the State to be taken to the country's embassies and consulates abroad and serve as a reference and guide on how the Dominican real estate system works.

In the national market there is literature from the legal field of real estate, however, not from the perspective of the actors who operate the system, which is why the author considers that it fills an essential gap in informing those who seek to fulfill the sacred desire of acquiring a home.

“Writing this book has meant more than 25 years of experience in the real estate sector and in investment attraction management. My main motivation has come from being able to be in contact with foreign investors and prospective homebuyers, to whom I have had to explain everything contained in this book from scratch, since there was no existing literature that explained it,” the professional elaborates.

Burgos considers himself part of the entrepreneurial movement, which he says he learned from his father and which has allowed him to lend a helping hand to others taking their first steps in the field. “I collaborate with and advise entrepreneurs. I just finished a 10-month mentorship with the non-profit organization EforAll, a business acceleration program based in Boston, MA, USA, that supports entrepreneurs in starting their businesses with three months of classes and mentorship to guide them through the implementation of what they've learned.”.

The author states that the book is written in a didactic style, using clear, simple language and a logical order that allows any type of reader to understand it. It is aimed at buyers, sellers, real estate agents, developers, investors, builders, and anyone interested in learning about the Dominican real estate system or who is interested in buying or selling property.

You can request your copy via WhatsApp at 829-658-2020 or through the website www.julissaburgos.do , for the price of RD$1,100.

This guide is Burgos' first book, and he is already finalizing plans to write a second one on the topic of identity. The presentation of "Real Estate in the Dominican Republic: A Practical Guide" was attended by developers, builders, real estate agents, banking executives, and trustees, among others.
