tiny buildings on sale that can serve as home offices in an attempt to address the lack of space for remote workers. The company announced

The so-called Hanare Zen , a structure 91 centimeters wide and 1.8 meters long, can be built next to the client's house in just two days and has an air conditioning outlet, a counter that can be used as a desk, and a storage area that turns into a bookshelf.

"It's designed for people who have difficulty finding a comfortable space to work at home and don't want to disturb their family ," company spokeswoman Chisa Uchiyama explained

While the structure is remarkably compact, the interior boasts finished flooring and wallpaper, and offers the same thermal insulation performance as a house, making it suitable for year-round . Besides functioning as a home office, it also serves as a space for online classes, a small hobby room, or storage.

The manufacturer began accepting orders for the Hanare Zen, which starts at 559,000 yen (about $5,200), on September 6. For now, sales of the mini-office are limited to the Kanto region.
