SANTO DOMINGO - The Civil Aviation Board (JAC) authorized the Colombian airline Jetsmart Airlines, SAS, to operate the routes of Medellín/Punta Cana, Medellín and Cali, Punta Cana, Cali.
The airline was created by IndigoPartners, a private investment fund with over 20 years of experience in the successful development of ultra-low-cost carriers worldwide. As part of its expansion in Latin America, it will operate new routes, including to the Dominican Republic.
The new routes are projected to begin regular operations starting in December Airbus A320-271N aircraft with an average capacity of 186 seats .
