Well-planned and properly managed real estate development is undoubtedly one of the main drivers of the economy, especially in countries like the Dominican Republic, on which the eyes of the world are focused.
In modern times, real estate development involves aspects that seek to improve or build infrastructure to support new communities, whether with roads, electricity networks, drinking water systems, parks, and other public services, which ultimately not only benefit new residents but also impact the quality of life of those who already live in the area.
This development may initially be aimed at reducing the housing deficit in a specific area or at meeting the growing demand for a second home for vacation use or as an investment.
The execution of real estate projects immediately generates a large number of direct and indirect jobs, as well as other economic opportunities, since the development of this sector demands a wide range of workers, bricklayers, plumbers, architects, cleaning staff, electricians, among others, both in the construction phase, as well as in the operation and maintenance of the properties.
Similarly, it brings in new residents and businesses, causing a high demand for local goods and services, such as shops, supermarkets, hairdressers, clinics, entrepreneurial projects, and others.
Real estate development should be seen as an ally that drives economic growth and job creation in the community it impacts.
