Fans of the urban artist will be able to stay at his private home in Luquillo while he is traveling

For those who want to discover the more personal side of the famous singer Daddy Yankee, a unique opportunity now opens up to stay in his mountain home in Puerto Rico with Airbnb and feel like a true "King of Reggaeton".
What it has: a lounge with a pool table and decorated with his albums and awards; a garden with a pool and volleyball court; and a master bedroom are some of the accommodations available to guests from next December at this exclusive mountain retreat that inspired some of the artist's hits.
"The design of the house is based entirely on his songs, his videos, and how he, as an artist, has the ability to bring a very inspiring and at the same time very creative message with his music," explained Fernando Rodríguez, the well-known Puerto Rican decorator in charge of the project.
During a visit to the house for a very small number of media outlets, including Efe, designer Stewart Rodriguez said that he studied in depth the way of dressing, walking and singing of the artist of hits such as "Gasolina", "Con Calma" and "Dura".
"For those who know his story and his life, he is all color, and for us that was the ultimate inspiration," Rodríguez emphasized, adding that the design reflects Daddy Yankee's "personality.".
One hundred percent Puerto Rican
Colors abound on the walls, in the chairs on the terrace and in the tire lights that decorate the living room, among other elements, in which an indisputable Puerto Rican touch also prevails.
Highlights include graffiti by well-known local artists in several rooms, the Puerto Rican flag on the pool table felt, and a domino set, the most popular and traditional game on the Caribbean island, with the slogan "Puerto Rican pride".
"Daddy Yankee is a person who is one hundred percent Puerto Rican, and I found certain areas and decorative elements that we could use so that he could celebrate his Puerto Rican pride," the decorator said.
Born in San Juan in 1976, the man also known as The Big Boss, the name featured in one of the graffiti murals on the terrace, and nicknamed by many as the King of Reggaeton, has won seven Latin Grammy Awards.
Daddy Yankee uses this house in Luquillo, located in an exclusive urbanization surrounded by lush vegetation, to get away from it all, disconnect and enjoy time with his family.
The renovation carried out by his team and Airbnb's team has been complete with the aim, according to Rodríguez, of "taking it to another level", although 10% of the singer's personal belongings and memories remain.
"My love for music and for Puerto Rico runs through my veins. By opening the doors of my home, I want to share the culture of my people, our pride, and our flavor," said the singer and songwriter.

His tastes
The mansion will be available on Airbnb for three individual bookings, one night each and a maximum of two people, on December 13, 15 and 17, although the idea is to keep it for long-term rental.
On December 2nd, the option to rent the house at airbnb.com/daddyyankee will open for $85 a night, a symbolic price in commemoration of his more than 85 songs that have entered the charts.
The stay also holds other surprises. Daddy Yankee has recorded a welcome video for guests and created a playlist of his favorite songs, Airbnb spokesperson Jessica Pecoraro explained.
The King of Reggaeton has also prepared a guide with recommendations of places to visit in the surrounding area, from paradisiacal beaches to the El Yunque tropical forest, and of local restaurants and bars.
"It's going to be a very interesting experience," the spokesperson said, adding that Airbnb is "super excited" and that working with Daddy Yankee is "a dream come true" and the beginning of their collaboration with Latin artists.
Pecoraro stated that "Airbnb is starting to invest more and more in the Latino community" - Daddy Yankee's entire project team is Puerto Rican - and that he sees "an opportunity to work in a truly authentic way" with it.
Their goal is to make the Latino community aware that Airbnb has very special places among its listings and "to call on all those Latinos who have unique homes that there is a great opportunity with the growing demand for this type of space," according to the spokesperson.
As part of its program to open up special and iconic places, Airbnb has already put up for rent houses as well known as the Barbie doll's house in Malibu, the Winnie the Pooh house and Carrie's house in the series "Sex and the City".
