SANTO DOMINGO - The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (Idac) put into service yesterday, Wednesday, August 14, a new state-of-the-art security system at the Norge Botello aeronautical complex in Punta Caucedo.

The general director of IDAC, Héctor Porcella, reported that the system is designed to strengthen the protection and surveillance of all the facilities of the aeronautical complex, ensuring a safe environment for staff and visitors.

The new security system incorporates advanced technology, including high-resolution cameras. This upgrade will allow for a faster and more efficient response to any potential incident, reinforcing the complex's commitment to safety and security, according to a press release.

“The Norge Botello Aeronautical Complex has always prioritized the safety of our operations and the people who work at and visit our facilities,” stated CEO Héctor Porchella during the inauguration ceremony for the new system. He added that with the implementation of the system, “we are raising our standard of protection and efficiency, ensuring that our operations continue uninterrupted and with maximum safety.”
